Guess What!

My camera was full, so I finally uploaded it. I don't know why I keep getting overwhelmed and not getting my pictures done. Well, maybe because there were 75 of them on there? Anyway, I'll start posting new pictures a few at a time.

First of all, here is a picture of the black shawl, which was finished and shipped off long ago:
Lee Ann's shawl

I have made a couple of these now for other people, and I love the way that this shawl fits, so I had to make another one to keep. Mine is the same pattern, except I did different fringe. I like the way the cast on 5, bind off 6 fringe looks and feels, but it takes forever to knit. That fringe literally is a third of the shawl. You get to the point where you think it's almost done, and then spend forever knitting fringe. So I crocheted the fringe on my shawl. I like it that way too. This dress is the one I mentioned below.

You can't see the colors all that well in that picture though. I knitted this in June when I was at conferences for a couple of weeks. When I went to Colorado I forgot to take my third skein of yarn with me, and I wanted to wear the shawl, so I bound it off at two skeins. That was another reason for the crocheted border, since that is easy to do on a bound-off edge. Anyway, you can see the colors better in this picture:

Did I ever show you Clapotis after it was done? I like that pattern too, and maybe next time I'll do it in a better yarn. Anyway, here it is:

I have knitted fairly constantly through the summer. My current WIP is a pair of wrist-warmers from the sock yarn I brought back from Norway. I really do love this yarn, even if it was seconds, probably only sold right there at the mill (the colors are off in spots, but I can live with that). It's so nice and soft! After this I will have less than two skeins left.

Lots of green, huh? Okay, I'll keep plugging along at getting these pictures up. I even have a bit of extra time this week.
