White Shawl

This is what I am knitting now. The picture was taken a few days ago, and I have since been reading (or rather, listening to the computer read) and knitting, so it has grown considerably. This shawl takes just about two skeins of yarn for the main section, and most of a third to make a border and cast off, and the first skein is almost finished. It is going fast. It also takes more effort to get a decent picture now that the shawl is scrunched on the needle, but that is really no excuse. I have to do something slightly differently each time for variety. This time I used a yarn over increase at the beginning of each row rather than knitting two stitches into the first stitch, so it will have eyelets along the front edge too. Maybe I will experiment with borders at the bottom edge too. I do have a new book with some cool ideas in it.
