Hey, I fixed the comments!

And this is my second try posting about it, so my enthusiasm is crushed since my post is lost (I even thought I had it copied to the clipboard too). I guess Blogger comments have to be turned on before they show up. Duh. Anyway, please comment! I have been lonely all this time that I have not been hearing from you. And I know, I have not been blogging very often anyway, so I just hope there is still someone out there reading. My brother used to read my blog, but he's been unavailable for several months.

Right now I'm blogging from work, and this is the flakiest internet connection I have ever tried to work with. I had permission to use the computers to work on homework after the work for the night was done (except for 30-minute checks), but this computer doesn't seem to want to go to certain sites, and what I needed to work on is on a floppy disk which it won't read. Bummer.

Have I told you about the master's program in Mental Health Counseling? I think I mentioned it. Anyway, the first class is done. The first class was the evaluation and elimination process. From there they decide who to admit to the program. I just found out that I have been accepted, so now I am officially a graduate student!

Time For a Change

You may have noticed the new template. I'm still trying to decide how much I like it. I like the lighter background, but I think it looks a little bit washed out. What do you think? I really miss the comment system for posts too, and was hoping that Blogger comment system would kick in, but it looks like it didn't. I guess I might have to go looking for a new comment service. In the meantime, I really want to hear what you think so email me (link to the left in the sidebar) or click on 100 Things (link in the sidebar) and leave a comment on the Tagboard please.

Life has had many changes turning up also. It's a new school year and the kids are back in school (like last year, Carol and Jonathan are in public school - 6th grade and 2nd grade - and Ashley is homeschooling again - 8th grade). I'm in school once again too - a master's program in Mental Health Counseling. Actually the class that I'm enrolled in is how they determine who to admit to the program. I should know in about a week or so, since this class is almost finished.

Let's hope that this week is a little easier than the last couple of weeks have been. My grandfather passed away two weeks ago tomorrow, and I flew out to California for his funeral.

It was nice to see my relatives again - last time was more than two years ago - but it would have been better if it were for a different reason. One of my cousins commented, "family reunion, funeral, what's the difference?" There is some truth in that, particularly since funerals get a much better turn-out, sad to say.

While I was gone, Mark's computer broke down. The next day after I got back my truck threw a rod, so it's a goner. Right after that the washing machine broke down, but Mark was able to fix that, thank heavens.

I still have lots more pictures to post - thought I was going to do that this afternoon, but at least I got my template switched over.

The knitting news is that the handwarmers are completed (pictures to come - be patient please), and I am between projects at the moment. I know I won't have any time tomorrow either, but I will get something started soon, and work on pictures too. Maybe Tuesday morning or Wednesday evening. The current schedule gives me Sunday off, Monday and Tuesday very busy (both jobs), Wednesday a bit more relaxed (only one job), Thursday one job in the morning/afternoon followed by a nap (hopefully, if allowed) so that I can work graveyard that night. Friday is a sleep day, and Saturday I have class in the morning (not every week though) and work after that. And such it keeps going round and round.
